Other job options

Well four months have now passed and although many resumes have been sent out, only one interview has been done and although it seemed promising, nothing has happened. Am I sad about it? No! I was psyched about it at first but that's not what I wanted. It was something temporary for 7 weeks which entailed going into some undesirable communities and the pay was low. Would it worth my time and effort? No, I don't think so.
Well it's now a new year with new challenges and new resolutions. It's now time to regroup and rethink my options and devise new strategies. I have always wanted to do counseling, I have been searching the web for such online jobs but have not found any yet, but I know that they are there. After a month of that I gave up, was that a good idea? No! I could not even maintain my own motto which is, with focus and perseverance you can succeed. I wanted to succeed but I did not persevere. What's the next move? Look within. What are my skills? What am I good at? What do I want to do? What is available to me? I want to do counseling or coaching, I have a computer so how do I combine everything? Simple, develop my own website and offer these services. The point in all of this is, as said before, job loss is not the end of the world, as difficult as it may seem, we only need to remain positive and focus. So I encourage you not to give up, be positive, even when things seem like they are closing in on you, network with friends and families, see how your skills can be used to your advantage. Forget your problems and focus on solutions, if one thing doesn't work out try something else. Persevere!
Best of luck in 2009!
